first, i went to see ac/dc last night @ gillette stadium … it was an amazing show. they do everything BIG. impressive props (a locomotive, 5 story blow-up biker chick with huge balloon ta-tas straddling that locomotive & stomping her foot to the beat) and videos, too. the show closed with a legit fireworks show. angus young hasn’t lost a step over the years, that guy is a machine.
chris rock & david spade were at the concert – they’re in town filming grown ups with adam sandler
is amy adams the new & improved nicole kidman? i think so.

my dvr is getting backed up with movies i need to watch… & i haven’t seen any of them before so i can’t delete them without first watching them! hopefully one will get knocked off the list tomorrow… not sure which one yet. need more room for some tv series recordings, the high-def stuff takes up serious space.

i’ve also had a movie out from netflix for months now that needs to be seen, gangs of new york. basically i’ve paid about $40 in monthly fees just holding onto to this one damn blu-ray disc.
just spent some time working on websites while listening to anthony cumia do his live from the compound show. hilarious as always, you have to respect someone like ant doing free shows over the net all the time … the bosses @ sirius|xm ain’t happy about it either.
alright, i saw the ugly truth with the wife & her sister, it wasn’t horrid. C+ … btw – john michael higgins & cheryl hines are top-shelf comedy players. overall, there were a few scenes worth mentioning.
first, a really bad cgi job of smoothing out katherine heigl’s belly and upper legs region during the scene that she’s hanging upside-down from a tree. it was such a quick cut scene that they probably didn’t think anyone would notice. i did! shame on you for not putting some effort into the body modification, at least for heigl’s sake.
second, her dance scenes… ok, it wasn’t funny the first time – in the trailer. they had about 4 of her little spastic 2-second dance scenes in the movie. seems like something that people will be mocking, youtubing, animated gif’ing & replaying to death as this movie earns more at the box office. we’ll see… i’m annoyed already at the thought of it.
also – before i forget, katherine heigl is a bitch. she bad mouthed knocked up, after it was a hit, for how it portrayed woman. give me a break, go back to tv you stuck-up skank.

a few months ago my wife and i were lucky enough to stay at the marriot aruba surf club for our honeymoon. beach, pool, food, sun, fun, blah blah blah. what i’m here to post is the great blue-screen-of-death shot that the tv had one day & the windows error on the tv guide channel from another day. reboot your hotel!
hey! tommy lasorda just made a cameo on the tonight show! did you have sega genesis years ago? do you still have it now? no! emulators do not count. well i sold my genesis about 8 years ago along with all of its games (thanks again, ebay!) .. one being tommy lasorda baseball. it had many flaws, but it was one of my go-to genesis baseball games (below the r.b.i. series, of course). damn! that reminds me i also sold my michael jackson’s moonwalker game in the original box w/manual during that same time.
i really believe that obama was wearing eye glitter during his presidential news conference. he was sparkling in HD, not a good look for our command-in-chief.
last action hero was on encore tonight, that has to be one of the worst big-budget action movies ever.
11:25pm… almost time for conan, the poor guy is getting clobbered in the ratings by letterman. first it was sarah palin, and last week it was paul mccartney… what’s next for dave? give conan a break! yes, yes, the tonight show should be your gig, jay leno was atrocious, but what’s done is done … conan o’brien is the man & the tonight show will conquer all. on a sidenote, there’s nothing better than having andy richter back w/conan, but i wish joel goddard made the move out to l.a., not for the announcer gig, but as a part-timer in skits. joel is missed!

this one is one of my all-time favorite warning signs. the jellyfish one is up there, too. i lived in hawaii for a year and will always remember their amazing beach safety signs. that poor 2D bastard never learns.

i’m currently hooked on frank zappa’s magdalena – off of the album, just another band from l.a. – go buy it and listen!
so i’m in my studio finishing some music and it has to be at least 85 (AND HUMID) up here. i can’t put the AC on… because i can’t hear the music completely with the cold-making-machine humming along. very productive night! was able to complete about 5 minutes worth of music for this tv show i’m composing for, Gunn.
have i mentioned that i love ebay? ok ok, i tolerate ebay, their fees are off the charts. combine them with their paypal fees and you’re looking at an astronomical percentage of your final sale $ going bye-bye. ANYWAY… i was able to sell my broken playstation 3 for $167.50 (not including $15 shipping). not bad for a unit that doesn’t even boot up and just gives you a blinking red light. YES, the buyer knows it’s broken, i mentioned it about 50 times in my listing description. most people that sell their broken ps3’s get about $125, so i was pleasantly surprised to see the last minute bidding war take it over $160!
rough finish for tom watson @ the open championship… he blew it on the 18th. and tanked it on the playoff.
i woke up hoping to get so much done today and didn’t get around to any of it… how often does that happen to you? i had about 4 things i wanted to get done today. now i’m about to call it a night, unproductive day finished. lately that seems to be happening more than usual, ugh. sleep, eat, pool, eat, sleep, eat, movie - that’s about all i did on this lazy sunday.

chewbacca threw out the first pitch to kick off the big star wars night at lelacheur park in lowell. the spinners lost, but fun was had with friends and sam summer.

i’m watching a saturday night live repeat right now w/anna faris hosting. she’s a classic example of why female celebs should NOT have lip injections. check her out in ‘my super ex-girlfriend’ (pre-lip-plumping) … obviously the surgery was not an improvement.
has there been a better comedy this decade? i could watch this show all day. susie essman should win an emmy EVERY YEAR. genius. my favorite episode has to be ‘the wire’ from season one (episode #6). does it get better than this? video – susie green loses it
